Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan chaired a meeting of the Cabinet at the Chief Minister’s residence ‘Samatva Bhawan’ here today.
It was decided in the meeting to provide gas refills of Rs 450 to women having connections of Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) for the period from July 4, 2023 to August 31, 2023.
An amount of approximately Rs 500 per refill will be deposited into the Aadhaar linked bank accounts of approximately 40 lakh sisters who have received gas refills. A probable expenditure of about Rs 200 crore is estimated.
Rs 1,200 crore “Kayakalp Yojana” approved
The Cabinet approved a Rs 1,200 crore ‘Kayakalp Yojana’ for the upgradation and construction of roads in the state’s urban bodies. This decision has been taken with the aim to providing a network of good, strong and comfortable roads for easy movement of citizens in urban areas. In this scheme, the work of renovation, strengthening and construction of major roads of the body will be done in a quality bound manner according to a time bound programme. Along with the appointment of Urban State Quality Monitor, arrangements for three level monitoring at the state, directorate and division level have also been made for quality control of the work of the scheme.
Annual income limit in CM Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana now raised upto Rs 8 lakh
The Cabinet approved raising the annual income limit of the student’s father/guardian under the Mukhyamantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojana from Rs 6 lakh to Rs 8 lakh.
Rs 2,981 crore 65 lakh approved for the construction of West Bhopal Bypass
The Cabinet approved the construction of the 40.90 km long West Bhopal bypass on hybrid annuity model at a cost of Rs 2 thousand 981 crore 65 lakh in the west south part of Bhopal city. This bypass road will be constructed by Madhya Pradesh Road Development Corporation in four lanes with paved shoulder. In the project, 6 lane structure with four lane road and two lane service road on both sides will be constructed. One ROB, two flyovers, fifteen underpasses and two major junctions will be constructed along the alignment of the route. According to the proposal, 40 percent of the contract amount will be paid to the investing agency in 5 installments during the construction work. The remaining 60 percent amount will be paid as six monthly annuity for the next 15 years.
‘Khelo MP Youth Games’ will be held every year
According to the announcement of the Chief Minister, the Council of Ministers granted approval to organize ‘Khelo MP Youth Games’ in the state every year on the lines of ‘Khelo India Youth Games’ and to spend Rs 200 crore for the event.
Creation of New Sub division Jawa
The Council of Ministers decided to create a new sub division, Jawa, in district Rewa. The new sub division will include all the Patwari Halkas of Tehsil Jawa from 01 to 87, a total of 87 Patwari Halkas. After the formation of Jawa sub division, Patwari halkas of Tehsil Teonthar from 01 to 100, a total of 100 Patwari Halkas will remain in Teonthar sub-division. For the operation of Jawa, 1 post of Sub Divisional Officer (Revenue), 1 of Steno Typist, 2 of Assistant Grade-2, 3 of Assistant Grade-3, 1 of Driver and 4 of Servant, thus a total of 12 posts have been sanctioned.
Increase in incentive amount of ASHA and Urban ASHA workers
The Cabinet decided to increase the incentive amount payable to ASHA and urban ASHA workers for the routine activities performed by them from Rs 2,000 to Rs 6,000 per month. Along with this, the incentive amount has been increased every year according to the Consumer Price Index (in the maximum limit of Rs. 1000). Along with this, the daily incentive amount given to ASHA supervisors has been increased to Rs.500 per day (maximum Rs.15000 per month) and the department has been authorized to take decisions for appropriate increase every year. The amount given at the time of retirement of ASHA, Urban ASHA and ASHA supervisors has been increased to Rs one lakh. The families of ASHA, Urban ASHA and ASHA Supervisors have also been considered as eligible families of Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana during their duty period.
Two group water supply schemes approved in Ratlam and Chhatarpur
Two new group water supply schemes have been approved in Sailana Ratlam and Lavkushnagar of Chhatarpur by the Public Health Engineering Department through Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam by the Council of Ministers. For this, administrative approval of Rs 967 crore 52 lakh has been issued.
Ratification of formation of ‘Madhya Pradesh Dev Narayan Board’
Formation order of ‘Madhya Pradesh Dev Narayan Board’ issued by the Council of Ministers to give necessary suggestions and recommendations to the State Government for the welfare of Gujjars in Madhya Pradesh, strengthening their social and economic status, employment, skill development and education/training, ratified on 28 September 2020 ratified.
Now special backward tribes will also get the benefit of increase in the amount of Ladli Bahna Yojana.
The eligible women beneficiaries of the Aadhar Anudan Yojana run by the Tribal Affairs Department by the Council of Ministers to free the special backward tribe Baiga, Bhariya and Sahariya families from malnutrition will be given information about the Ladli Bahna Yojana run by the Women and Child Development Department from time to time.
It has been decided to give the benefit of increase in amount equally. Along with this, it has also been decided not to give the benefit of Ladli Bahna Yojana to the beneficiary women who have taken advantage of the Aadhar Anudan Yojana to prevent double benefit of the scheme by the beneficiaries.
Land allotment to AIIMS Bhopal
It was decided by the Cabinet to allot khasra number 11, rakba 8.0100 hectare government land located in village Barrai, to All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Saket Nagar Bhopal, free of cost and at an annual land rent of Re.one.
Other decisions
An amount of Rs 167 crore 59 lakh was approved by the Council of Ministers for the upgradation of Satpura Bhawan and Vindhyachal Bhawan.
The Cabinet has ratified the decision to reduce the mandi fee on cotton to Rs 0.50 by March 31, 2024. This decision was taken following the demand of cotton traders and people’s representatives to reduce the mandi fee on cotton and to encourage cotton trade.
