A case is registered by the Special Police Establishment (Lokayukta) on Friday against 3 IAS officers for misusing their powers giving permission to over 20 tribals to sell their land violating rules in tribal dominated Kundam Block of district Jabalpur of Madhya Pradesh.
These 3 IAS officers were posted in Jabalpur between 2007 to 2012 when they were posted as additional collector granted permission to over 20 tribals to sell their land, a senior official said.
Now they are posted as Gwalior Divisional Commissioner (Revenue) Dipak Singh, Excise Commissioner OP Srivastava and Upper Secretary Basant Kurrey.
As per norms the district collector is authorized to give permission to the tribal to sell their land under provisions of Madhya Pradesh Land Revenue Code (MPLRC).
