Six workers were injured after a fire broke out at the defence production unit Ordnance Factory Khamaria (OFK), Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh on Thursday.
The fire reportedly occurred while the workers were melting the explosives while preparing ammunition for defence forces.
Those sustained minor injuries were discharged after primary treatment while rest were admitted in the private hospitals.
One of the workers has sustained severe burns.
The factory management has ordered a board of inquiry into the cause of the fire.
