The way Shivraj Singh Chouhan government defended the opposition Congress’ no-trust motion moved in the MP Assembly shows its (the state government) advance preparedness to tackle the affairs in the house in the winter sessions.
During debate on the no-trust motion in the MP Assembly, MP Home Minister Narottam Mishra was fluent in speaking on the issues raised by the Congress.
On Wednesday the opposition Congress moved a no-confidence motion against the Shivraj Singh Chouhan government.
Thereupon MP Assembly Speaker Girish Gautam admitted for hearing the motion moved by Leader of Opposition MLA Govind Singh. Sooner, MP Home Minister Mishra said the government is ready for a discussion.
Mishra came down heavily on the opposition for making vague claims against the government. Mishra took dig over the absence of PCC president, former CM Kamal Nath in the Assembly.
Later talking to the reporters, Mishra said it is a matter of great pain that even on such an important occasion, Kamal Nath ji remained absent from the House the whole time. Being absent from the House, Kamal Nath expressed disbelief on the no-trust motion of the Leader-Opposition.
The home minister said Such factless, baseless and irrational no-confidence motion has never come in the House earlier.
The opposition was divided over the no-confidence motion in the House. Kamal Nath’s faction was successful in isolating the Leader of the Opposition in the House, the home minister said.
All the allegations of the Congress turned out to be empty and the no-confidence motion got flopped, he said.
Mishra was confident to point out that six Maoists were killed in Madhya Pradesh within a year. The Naxalites carrying reward of Rs. 1.12 crore were either killed or in the jail. Govind Singh ji, during tenure of your government, the naxalites used to kill the minister inside the house. Today no one has the courage to do such a big incident inside Madhya Pradesh, he added.
