Under Eat Right Challenge-2, as per the instructions of Collector Bhopal Avinash Lavania, two innovation programs have been started by the Food Security Administration under it a campaign will be launched to stop serving or wrap samosas, poha etc. in pieces of newspapers.
Related pamphlets will be put up in hotels, kiosks and an undertaking has been taken from the vendors to the effect that newspapers will not be used by them in the manufacture, maintenance, serving of food items.
The district collector while starting the campaign issued instructions imposing complete ban on use of pieces of newspaper for serving or keeping food items.
The District Food Officer said that another innovation is being done in Bhopal, under this, a system will be established to redress the complaints related to food quality being prepared by inspecting the government non-government hostel, mess.
For this, by keeping a complaint box in the hostel, students will be encouraged to be bold to give their feedback on complaints or food quality.
In addition, workshops will be organized to improve the eating habits of the students.
