On the instructions of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, Mukhyamantri Jan Sewa Abhiyan-2 is being run from May 10 in the state to provide on-the-spot benefits of 68 services of various departments to the general public, and to ensure action on pending and new applications received earlier. The complaints received are also being redressed by setting up camps in the campaign.
Chief Minister Chouhan has given instructions to the collectors to redress all the complaints seriously.
Beneficiaries of Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana gave an application regarding repeated malfunctions in the LED TVs received as a gift to them in the camp organized on May 17 in Sagar district. Taking cognizance of the complaint, Collector Sagar Deepak Arya lodged an FIR under sections 420, 467, 468 and 471 of CrPC on May 19 with Joint Director Social Justice Sagar on the basis of suspicion. Taking quick action, the police interrogated Mukesh Sahu, husband of accused Preeti Sahu, of M/s SRK Enterprises, in which he told to purchase LED TV from New Delhi. Based on the information, two accused Mukesh Sahu from Sagar and Raju Gupta from New Delhi were arrested and action is being taken.
On March 8, a mass marriage programmes had been organized by the Gadhakota municipality under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana, in which Rs 11,000 in cash and Rs 38,000 in kind were provided to all the couples. This included mattress, utensil sets (51 pieces), bed (iron), fan (table fan), plastic table-chair set, silver anklets, bindi, bichiya, gold mangalsutra, wall clock, sewing machine, bed sheet, pillow besides an LED TV given as a gift.
Tender was invited by the district level committee through e-tender to determine the quality and rate of the material made available to the bride and groom. After opening the technical and financial bids, samples of all the materials were also examined by the committee in the presence of all the tenderers. After this process, the rates and standards were fixed by the district level committee. On this basis, the purchase order was given by the Municipal Council Gadhakota to the concerned firms.
