Corona infection is spreading rapidly throughout the country, including the state of Madhya Pradesh. Every day, new cases are reported from various districts. The government of Madhya Pradesh carried out a lockdown weekend in 12 cities of 11 districts in view of the situation. In addition, in consideration of the worsening situation, the order of complete lockout was given in several districts of the state.
According to reports, the Chhindwara district administration has released a lockout order in urban areas beginning at 10 p.m. tonight. It was mentioned that the lockdown would last until 6 a.m. on Monday. which means the administration has placed an 86-hour shutdown. Except for essential services, all other services will be closed at this period.
Simultaneously, the Neemuch district administration has declared a complete lockdown from Saturday to Monday. The district will be locked from 8 p.m. on Saturday to 6 a.m. on Monday, according to directives provided by the District Administration. The proposal was made at a meeting of the district-level crisis management committee.
Earlier, the Khargone district administration released an order for a complete lockout in urban areas on Friday, 5 April, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Complete lockdown will be maintained in Khargone, Kasrawad, Maheshwar, Mandleshwar, Bhikangaon, Barwah, Sanawad, Karhi, and Bistan, according to the order. Except for emergency services in all regions, all other services will be closed at this period. ML Kanel, the Additional Collector, issued the directive.
According to data released by the Health Department, 2332 new corona patients were detected in Madhya Pradesh yesterday, taking the total number of corona patients in the state to 2 lakh 95 thousand 511. On Wednesday, 9 corona patients died in the state, and 1261 patients were discharged. So far, 3986 patients have died in the province. Meanwhile, in Madhya Pradesh, 2 lakh 74 thousand 429 patients have recovered. Following this, the number of active patients in Madhya Pradesh is estimated to be about 17 thousand.
