New and Renewable Energy Minister Hardeep Singh Dang said that Madhya Pradesh has made an unprecedented increase in renewable energy production.
From the generated capacity of 160 MW in the year 2010, has now increased to 5 thousand 462 MW.
This includes 2 thousand 770 MW wind power, 2 thousand 473 solar power, 95 MW biomass and 124 MW small hydro power project.
Minister Dang said that Delhi’s Metro Rail is running from the 750 MW Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Project, which is one of the country’s largest solar power plants.
Presently projects of about 1728 MW capacity are under installation. These projects are playing an important role in achieving the target of 500 GW by the year 2030 by the Central Government.
