In the history of Madhya Pradesh, a new record was set by supplied maximum power of 3027.43 lakh units of electricity on November 24, 2022.
Similarly on November 23, 2022, the highest power demand of 15460 MW was registered in the state.
The demand of electricity in the state is continuously being recorded above 14000 MW from 10 November and 15000 MW from 20 November, this financial year.
When the demand for electricity in the state was recorded at 15460 MW, at that time Madhya Pradesh East Zone Power Distribution Company covering Jabalpur, Sagar and Rewa divisions the demand was 4034 MW, while Madhya Pradesh Central zone Power Distribution Company covering Bhopal and Gwalior divisions recorded 4774 MW, while Madhya Pradesh West Zone Vidyut Vitran Company covering Indore and Ujjain divisions recorded maximum demand of 6366 MW. The state power utility supplied 286 MW power to the Railways.
