Madhya Pradesh Police has declared a reward of Rs 10,000 for the arresting of Congress MLA Hemant Katare, who is absconding in the case of kidnapping of 21-year-old student and in rape case.
Bhopal-South Superintendent of Police Rahul Kumar Lodha told on Saturday that we have declared a reward of 10,000 rupees for the arrest of the absconding Hemant Katare, because even after issuing several summons he has not appeared in front of the police. .
He said that the police has also declared a reward of Rs 10,000 for the arrest of the second accused Vikramjit Singh in the case. Katare had complained to against journalism student for blackmailing and its associate Vikramjit Singh.
On the complaint of Katare, the police had arrested the girl on 24th January for taking a sum of five lakh rupees, while Vikramjit Singh was absconding since then.
After this, the accused student filed a case of kidnapping, misbehavior, and criminal intimidation against the Katare on February 2 in the police.
After getting bail from the local court, the student was released from jail on the next day on February 6.
After this, the police formed a Special Investigation Team (SIT) of Police to investigate the allegations by registering a case of abduction and rape against MLA Hemant Katare.
Earlier, Katare had complained to the police that the student met him as a journalist in two dozen public programs. Katare had alleged that the student filed a video in the social media and made baseless allegations against him and demanded Rs 2 crore for the purpose of finishing the case.
After this, the police had arrested the student on the complaint of Katare. While the student has accused Katare of raping her at gym at Bhopal and several times in the Delhi hotel.
