Public Works Minister Gopal Bhargava has said that government buildings in Madhya Pradesh will be built on the lines of Canada, France and Mauritius.
For this, the Project Implementation Unit of the Public Works Department will use the structure stay in place from work system instead of traditional shuttering. He said this on the occasion of the dedication of new SOR 2022 of Public Works Department Project Implementation Unit.
In the new SOR, the rates of 80 construction items have been changed by the department.
Minister Bhargava said that the Public Works Department is also innovating in electrical fitting works in buildings.
In this EPS expanded polystyrene core panels are used or a thermocol seat is used in the middle of the lightweight sandwich panel.
Due to which the temperature inside the buildings will be controlled and the buildings can be made noise proof. This method will also save time and electricity in completing the work.
Minister Bhargava said that at present the SOR of 2020 is effective in the state.
In the last 2 years, due to the global crisis arising out of unavoidable circumstances like Covid and Ukraine war, there has been an unprecedented increase in the rate of various types of construction materials like steel, cement, copper, aluminum wire, PVC, pipe fittings.
This has an impact on the quality of construction works. Keeping these subjects in view, new SOR of Public Works Department Project Implementation Unit is being implemented.
In which an average increase of 15 percent has been made on various items.
