The Madhya Pradesh Human Rights Commission (MPHRC) on Wednesday sought reply from the Bhopal Municipal Corporation Commissioner over delay in disbursing salary to the officers and employees for month of September 2022.
MPHRC member Manohar Mamtani has taken cognizance of in this matter.
The Commission has sought reply from Municipal Commissioner Bhopal within ten days in this matter.
The Commission received information that due to less recovery of taxes in Bhopal Municipal Corporation till now the commissioner and over 2000 employees have not received salary for the month of September 2022.
The situation is such that in the festive month, the salaries of more than two thousand employees, including the Municipal Commissioner and Additional Commissioners.
According to the Corporation sources that Rs. 10 crore have been distributed as salary to more than 11000 daily waged workers, but about Rs. 20 crore have not been arranged for the salary of the officers and employees.
Thus the Commission has sought a reply from the Municipal Commissioner.
