Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Shri Mahendra Singh Sisodia has said that good quality roads have been constructed from village to village under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojna.
A large number of roads have been damaged due to excessive rainfall this year.
Their restoration (renovation) work should be done with utmost seriousness. The work should be of quality and completed within the time limit.
Minister Sisodia took a meeting of Madhya Pradesh Rural Road Development Authority in Mantralaya on Monday.
Minister Sisodia has directed the Chief Engineer of Rural Engineering Service, B.S. Chandel that the departmental staff should visit their areas continuously and ensure quality work of roads. “Also increase your inspections.
He directed that the work of filling the vacant posts in the department should be done on priority.
Principal Secretary Umakant Umrao directed that special attention should be paid to repair and maintenance of roads. In the districts where the roads, including Raisen are more damaged, work should be done promptly.

It was informed in the meeting that best practices have been adopted by Madhya Pradesh Road Development Authority for quality work of roads.
E-marg software for online inspection, evaluation, payment of works, e-tender system for transparent process of tenders, Geo-reach software for inspection of construction works, bridge cell for quality work of bridges and panel of bridge-experts are used.
It was informed that remarkable work has also been done in the state for road construction from waste plastic.
As per IRC norms, 8 thousand 165 km of roads in the state have been built using 4 thousand metric tonnes of waste plastic.
The work of maintenance of 19 off-carriage-way roads of 5 districts in the state has been entrusted to self-help groups on a pilot basis.
Road Safety Officers have been made and Road Safety Cells are formed in the districts.
The state has received an incentive of Rs 943 crore from the Government of India in 5 years for the completion of Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Roads, use of green technology, quality and excellent maintenance.
