The high level inquiry committee in its report states there is no specific security measures prescribed nor this is being done by the University to ensure that only the enrolled students should be allowed to take part in the examination of the MP Medical Science University.

The committee on instructions from the State government had probed into complaints related to the private IT company allegedly modified result of the examination conducted in last one year by the State run Medical Science University Jabalpur and submitted its report in the MP High Court last month, the petitioner’s counsel Amitabh Gupta said.

The Committee in its report mentioned when the Controller of Examination was asked whether any change in the application form for taking part in the examination is to be authorized by the Controller of Examination or it has to be done after due scrutiny by the committee.

The Controller of Examination’ answer to such a query was not reasonably given, rather it was stated, explaining only this much that in case there are discrepancies or any error in the details of application form, the college can make request to the Controller of Examination and in that case, if it is deemed necessary, correction can be ordered by resetting and reopening the portal, the committee’s report said.

From the aforesaid facts as has been cult out by the statements of the officials of the University as well as the agency engaged for the purposes of conducting the examination, it is clear that there is no specific security measures prescribed nor this is being done by the University to ensure that only the enrolled students should be allowed to take part in the examination of the University, is the findings of the committee the counsel said.

Justice retired KK Trivedi chairman of the high level inquiry committee conducted probe into complaints related to the private IT company that allegedly modified result of the examination conducted in last one year by the State run MP Medical Science University.

Additional DGP (Cyber Crime) Yogesh Deshmukh, Rajeev Gandhi Prodhyogiki Vishwavidyalaya Bhopal, Vice Chancellor Professor Sunil Kumar Gupta, Consultant Viral Tripathi and Engineer Testing Priyank Soni are members of the committee.

The committee’s report mentions that orally it was said that there were about 278 candidates of mismatch in names found, but action was taken only in respect of few candidates and institutions.

The Committee pointed that in fact this is a big mistake .on the part of University and IT agency wherein manipulations in enrollment data were allowed in connivance-of each other, the counsel said.

The committee report says this also raises serious question about their examination management system, software and procedures with regards to data security, the counsel said.

The PIL was filed by a lawyer Ankita Agrawal demanding probe into the irregularities in the examination and results of various medical and paramedical courses conducted by the university, the counsel said.

The government and private medical colleges and the institutions running paramedical courses are affiliated to the university.
