Madhya Pradesh Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra on Friday instructed the district collector to carry detailed probe into a private university management imposing fine on some students for chanting Hanuman Chalisa in hostel campus in Bhopal.

Mishra told local reporters that he has communicated to the college management for not imposing any fine on the students willing to chant Hanuman Chalisa.

He said the students might be counseled on this issue.

Mishra said where the students will chant Hanuman Chalisa if not in ‘Hindustan’ (India).

The way the matter was presented is not the same what happened the students chanted the Hanuman Chalisa but due to loud sound the security guard, the students and some parents phoned to the management in this matter, he added.
