In some districts of the state, information has been received that the amount transferred to the bank accounts of the beloved sisters of Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana is not credited. Due to lack of minimum balance, there is apprehension of deducting the amount by the banks in the form of service fee, while according to the instructions of the Reserve Bank of India, there is no compulsion to keep the minimum balance in the basic savings bank deposit including the open bank account in the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana. . Banks cannot charge service charges on these accounts.
Joint Director Women and Child Development Dr. Vishal Nadkarni has informed that the State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) has issued instructions to convert the accounts of dear sisters with inoperative accounts into Jan Dhan accounts, so that The amount transferred to the account can be credited.
