The state government is continuously monitoring and reviewing the process of payment of relief amount in the approved cases of flood, heavy rain, drought and pest attack in the state from the year 2018 to 2022-23. Strict action has been taken against the officers and employees who indulged in irregularities in the payment of the amount.

So far FIR has been registered on 20 and 11 have been suspended, order of official punishments have been passed against 11, this way, after taking action against 245 government employee, Rs 4 crore 34 lakh was recovered and the amount was deposited in the government treasury.

In Sheopur, the bank accounts of those who indulged in irregularities have been put on hold. Along with this, action will also be taken to recover the amount by selling their property.

The government has been taking action regularly and has suspended 32 employee. These include Tehsildar, Patwari, Naib, Nazir and Clerk. FIR has been registered against 20 people in Seoni, Sehore, Shivpuri, Bhind and Indore. Sanction for prosecution has been issued in 131 cases of irregularities while working on various posts.

Criminal cases have been registered against 11 Tehsildars and Naib Tehsildars in the Lokayukta. Along with this, departmental inquiry is underway against 29 officers and punishment has been passed in 11 cases. Departmental investigation is being undertaken by registering 35 criminal cases against Girdawars working in Revenue Department, 11 have also been suspended and departmental probe is going on against 35.

The government is taking action and recovery is also being made from those who engaged in irregularities in the relief amount in the districts. Rs 1 crore 24 lakh 15 thousand has been recovered in Dewas, Rs 34 lakh 47 thousand 693 in Chhatarpur, Rs 11 lakh 61 thousand 619 in Khandwa, Rs 64 lakh 54 thousand 524 in Mandsaur, Rs 69 lakh 17 thousand 696 in Raisen and Rs 20 lakh 71 thousand 214 have been recovered in Satna. Rs 40 lakh 19 thousand 796 is being recovered in Vidisha and Rs 11 lakh 5 thousand 674 in Sheopur. In Bhind, after recovery of Rs 97 lakh 96 thousand, an amount of Rs 33 lakh has been returned to the eligible farmers.
