Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh has instructed the Commissioner of Municipal Corporation, Bhopal to classify nursing homes/hospitals under health services and fix their license fee according to the new order. Mr. Singh has told that the new instructions have been issued after discussion and agreement with the office bearers of Madhya Pradesh Nursing Home Association, Bhopal.
Minister Mr. Singh said that the rate of annual license fee for nursing homes with up to 50 beds is Rs. 5 thousand, for 50 to 150 beds, Rs. 10 thousand and for nursing homes/hospitals with more than 150 beds, the annual fee has been fixed at Rs. 25 thousand has been done The Municipal Commissioner, Bhopal has been instructed to inform the Urban Development and Housing Department by amending the order dated August 1, 2022 of Municipal Corporation Bhopal as per the new order.
Also, in relation to the regularization of Nursing Homes, in Bhopal Development Plan, 2005, in the amendment made by Gazette on 28 September 2018, even after taking occupancy change fee, again a large amount as property tax and annual change fee to nursing home operators. Has to be paid along with other taxes, which should be reduced. In this regard, instructions have been given to ensure further action from the municipal corporation level.
