MP PCC chief Kamal Nath said the mayoral elections are local election has no impact on state or national level politics.
The Congress is doing well in all the mayoral seats in the state, he told a press conference in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh on Thursday.
He said if the Congress is voted to power the advisory council will be constituted in civic body across the state.
The advisory council will deliberate on the civic issues on priority basis and local development requirements where tax-payers funds are utilized, he said.
Nath said when I was Union Minister of Transport I asked the authorities to conduct carrying capacity surveys, similar surveys are need to be done for the municipal bodies considering the rise of population in next ten years.
He said the carrying capacity enables to plan accordingly to adjust the rise in population after ten years.
He cited the example of Delhi if Nodia or Gurugram would not have been there the things for Delhi to adjust the rising population would not be possible.
