The MP Economics Offence Wing (EOW) Jabalpur branch on Tuesday conducted searches in the Church of North India (CNI) headquarters at Delhi in connection with the cheating case of former Bishop PC Singh.

Presently former Bishop PC Singh is in the jail in connection with cheating case.
Meanwhile the special court in Jabalpur has dismissed the bail application of another two accused in the case namely Suresh Jacob and Piyush Paul Singh, he said.
Piyush Paul Singh is a son of PC Singh while Suresh Jacob was associated to him (PC Singh). ADPO Sarika Yadav appeared for EOW in the bail matter.
A preliminary investigation had revealed that Rs 2.70 crore collected as students’ fees by the society’s various institutions between 2004-05 and 2011-12 was allegedly transferred to religious institutions, misused and spent by the bishop for personal needs, an EOW official earlier said.
The EOW registered a case against Singh and former assistant registrar of Firms and Societies B S Solanki under sections 420, 406, 468, 471 and 120 B of IPC.
The Synod of the Church of North India has already suspended the services of PC Singh on October 15, 2022.
