Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan unveiled the ‘Mukhyamantri Seekho-Kamao Yojana (MMSKY)’ or ‘Chief Minister Learn And Earn’ scheme on Tuesday, introducing several significant announcements. As part of the scheme, the CM declared that scooties would be awarded to the top-performing students who achieve first place in their respective schools in class 12th. Additionally, Chouhan revealed that the state government would cover the admission fees for students who secure more than 70 percent marks in class 12th and enroll in any college.
“Scooty will be given to the students who come first in class 12th in their respective schools,” Chouhan said. “The Madhya Pradesh government will pay the admission fees for sons and daughters who receive more than 70% in class 12th at any college,” he added, according to a press release issued by the Chief Minister’s Office (CMO).

The CM also stated that the state is working to prepare children for work in industry, saying, “The industry gives work to such children who are useful, so the plan was made with the aim of teaching better work to the children.”
“A Global Skill Centre is being established in Bhopal with the cooperation of Singapore, in which 6 thousand children will be trained together, with the number eventually increasing to ten thousand. We intend to teach work to 12th-grade students, ITI graduates, graduation students, and PG graduates,” Chouhan said.

According to the official statement, approximately 700 different works have been fixed, with various establishments teaching the work. The portal will include a list of all works.

“On one side of the portal, there will be vacancies, and on the other, the names of the establishments. Children will not be taught how to work; instead, children would be earning money,” he said.

The chief minister also announced stipends for students at various levels who will participate in the scheme:
Individuals with minimum qualification of 12-Grade: 8 thousand per month
Individuals with minimum qualification of an ITI-Degree: 8500 thousand per month
Individuals with a Diploma degree: 9000 thousand per month
Individuals with a Graduation degree: 10 thousand per month
“To take advantage of the scheme, eKYC will be required, which will be completed at the MP Online Centre. Both the email address and phone number must be active, and the Aadhaar card must be linked to the account,” according to the statement.

Candidates who intend to join the CM’s Learn and Earn programme can register themselves on the official website– mmsky.mp.gov.in.

Registration Process:

Access the Samagra ID portal and complete the eKYC process.
An OTP will be sent to the linked mobile number. Enter the OTP to proceed.
Review all the information on the Samagra ID platform and provide your email address.
Verify the OTP received on the provided email ID.
Complete the registration process by clicking the submit button.
A User ID and Password will be sent to the registered mobile number.
To date, 10,432 establishments have successfully registered for the scheme. This scheme is one-of-a-kind globally. Individuals interested in acquiring new skills should step forward and take advantage of this opportunity, the statement said.
