Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that from November 15, PESA Act will be implemented in the state, as a result of which our tribal brothers and sisters will get many facilities.
Along with social harmony, the social justice will also get a boost. The government will also bear the cost of the education for children of the tendu patta collectors, he said.
Now 75 percent of the total dividend of tendu leaves will be distributed among the tendu patta collectors. College will be opened in Khalwa from the next academic session, he said.
Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing training cum awareness for capacity enhancement of minor forest produce cooperative societies and tendu patta dividend distribution ceremony in Khandwa district on Thursday.
CM Chouhan performed bhoomi-pujan of 43 works costing Rs. 786 crore and dedicated 9 works costing Rs. 79.59 crore. Along with this, Rs.41. crore 63 lakh 29 thousand 75 rupees were transferred in the bank accounts of 1 lakh 68 thousand 601 collectors of 102 minor forest produce committees of 10 forest divisions of Khandwa, Narmadapuram, Betul and Ujjain circles.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that every possible effort would be made for the development of the area. He congratulated and extended his best wishes to the tendu patta collectors. He appealed to the citizens to make their area drug free. CM Chouhan also visited the development exhibition organised at the venue.
Beneficiaries benefitted
Chief Minister Chouhan honoured Shri Chandar son of Sahadar of Dewas, Kashmir son of Hazari district Khandwa, Dayaram son of Gulab from Barwah, Premdas son of Hariram from Narmadapuram, Radhelal Yadav from Betul by giving them cheques of tendu patta collection bonus amount. Along with this, beneficiaries were benefitted in schemes like Udyam Krishi Yojana, “One District – One Product”, Aajeevika Self-Help Group, National Livestock Mission, Forest Rights Patta etc.
Chief Minister Chouhan presented cheques of Rs. 50 thousand each to Sunil son of Shobharam Iske, a second year student of Gandhi Medical College and Janaki daughter of Kailash Vaskale, a first-year student of Jabalpur Medical College.
Forest Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah introduced the beneficiaries of various government schemes to the Chief Minister Chouhan.
He said that all the eligible persons are getting benefited from the scheme. He said that the land of residents of 76 villages of the district would be irrigated by the NVDA Khalwa Lift Irrigation Scheme worth Rs. 731 crore.
In this, water will be lifted from village Nandgaon of Indira Sagar reservoir Harsud tehsil and brought to Khalwa tehsil.
Minister in charge of Khandwa district Usha Thakur, Betul MP D.D. Uike, MLA Devendra Verma, Ram Dangore, Narayan Patel and Sanjay Shah, were present along with public representatives, Divisional Commissioner Indore Pawan Sharma, Collector Anoop Kumar Singh, Superintendent of Police Vivek Singh and a large number of citizens.
