Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said the Higher Education Department should prepare result oriented courses to connect the students with employment. Employment and self-employment is the priority of the state government.
He was reviewing the works of Higher Education Department in Mantralaya.
The Chief Minister said that students should be benefitted by making self-reliant Madhya Pradesh Roadmap Incubation Centres operational in a better way.
Placement cell should be made effective for self-employment. Engage more and more youths in self-employment. 150 colleges have been upgraded into quality study centres in the state.
The works of colleges without building in the state should be completed on time and their quality should be good. A policy has been prepared to increase the participation of the private sector in the field of higher education.
Efforts should be made expeditiously for the establishment of State Research and Knowledge Foundation.
He said that incubation centres of the department have been set up at Rewa, Ujjain, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Indore and Bhopal. Such courses should be created so that students can receive education and get employment. These courses should be result oriented.
He said that the programme should be prepared, so that students can be given placement letters simultaneously. About 200 smart classes are being run in 100 colleges in the state and digital studios are being set up in 10 divisional headquarters.
Chouhan said that training should be continued for employment and self-employment. Government Madhav Vigyan Mahavidyalaya Ujjain is the only graded college in the state recognised by NAAC. Various activities of National Education Policy-2020 should be completed within the prescribed time-frame.
Chouhan directed to start multi-faculty courses in colleges. An institute of excellence should be established at each divisional headquarters.
The construction of approved buildings should be completed on time. Continue to strive for quality in the construction of approved works and better grades of colleges.
The CM said that better works of the National Education Policy should be publicised in the field of higher education. Recruitments should be made on backlog and other vacancies.
