Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Wednesday said the Congress is trying to create confusion in the Poshan Aahar issue on basis of the CAG’s preliminary report over alleged corruption in manufacturing, transportation and distribution of nutritious food to undernourished children and pregnant women.

The government has decided to clear the position on the Poshan Aahar issue before the public through giving statements in the Assembly, Chouhan told the reporters.

The State Assembly session commenced yesterday.

The alleged corruption in the Take Home ration is related to the tenure of the Congress government in the state in which transportation is done on scooter, autorickshaw and car whose registration details is available with the governmet, he said.

Chouhan said ‘when I was giving statement on Poshan Aahar the Congress created ruckus in the Assembly, attempted to stop me from making statements’.

The government is ready to reply every query on this issue but the Congress want to stay away from it, he said.

The government is minutely keeping watch on the developments and any discrepancy if found action will be taken accordingly, Chouhan said.

As of now the government has taken action against 104 persons and 6 persons are terminated from services while 24 persons are suspended, he said.

The audit team has provided the draft of the observation report (2018-2021) of examination of the documents related to the Poshan Aahar scheme, he said.

Sooner the department files reply with the CAG the same will be discussed in the Assembly, he said.
