Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan disbursed said the government had made a plan for disaster management and relief in advance before monsoon commenced.

The entire management system was instructed to remain alert, he said. The relief amount ₹ 202.64 crore is transferred in the account of farmers affected by floods and heavy rains, he said.

Chouhan has disbursed the relief amount to 1.91 lakh farmers for crop loss on 2.2 lakh hectares of agriculture land in 19 districts.

The satisfaction is that we did not let any life go, he said.

There was a loss in our 19 district districts including Videsha, Sagar, Guna Raisen, Harda, Bhopal, Ashoknagar, Sehore, Moorena, Agarmalwa, Balaghat, Naramdapuram, Shivpuri, Chhindwara, Bhind, Rajgarh and Betul, we surveyed it and we kept trasperancy in the survey as well, he said.

We had decided that a joint team of Revenue, Agriculture, Panchayat and Rural Departments would conduct the survey and the list would be pasted in the Panchayat Bhawan, he said.

Apart from getting out of the boat, if needed, we had called army helicopters and used them, he said.

We made efforts to do all the work like relief camp, arrangement of food etc., arrangement of temporary residence, removal of debris, arrangement of pure drinking water after floods, medicine sprinkling etc. on a war footing, Chouhan said.

Revenue and Transport Minister Govind Singh Rajput said Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan is always read for prompt rescue and relief for the people affected by the flood.

Chouhan decided to disburse relief amount to the farmers for crop loss direct in their bank accounts way ahead of Dussehra, Rajput said.
