Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan performed bhoomi-pujan of Shri Rudra Mahayagya and Shiv Mahapuran Katha Sthal to be held in the Purushottam month for the happiness and prosperity of Chambal region, in Sabalgarh of Morena district.
Chief Minister Chouhan accompanied by the Union Ministers performed bhoomi-pujan and offered prayers to Lord Shiva with Vedic chants.
The Kalash Sthapana was performed by Swami Akhileshwaranand Giri, chairman of the Madhya Pradesh Gaupalan and Livestock Promotion Board.
Chief host Dr. Manu Sharma welcomed the guests and honoured them by presenting them with shawls, shriphal and mementos.
Chief organizer Sant Gopal Das Maharaj told that, Shri Rudra Mahayagya, Shiv Mahapuran Katha, construction of 1.25 crore Parthiv Shivling and 1100 Maha Rudrabhishek will be organized at the bhoomi-pujan site from July 31 to August 8.
In the Mahayagya, 2100 hosts will offer prayers to Lord Shiva in the Purushottam month. Food and accommodation will be arranged free of cost for the guests coming from outside.
