Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan will distribute Charan Paduka, clothes and other materials to the people associated with tendu patta collection in various tribal-dominated areas of the state. Recently, CM Shri Chouhan had recently made an announcement in this regard at the inauguration of the International Van Mela. These programmes will be organised in Vindhya and Mahakaushal regions of the state along with other places.

Chief Minister Chouhan held a meeting with Forest Minister Dr. Kunwar Vijay Shah, Additional Chief Secretary Forest JN Kansotiya and senior officers of the Forest Department and deliberated with them in this regard. Along with the material distribution, the outline of the programme of participation in folk-dance, other competitions by women self-help groups and the proposed Van Mahotsav in the coming month of April were also discussed.

Wildlife conservation is priority

Chief Minister Chouhan said that along with the conservation of wild animals in the state, the balance in the existence of humans and animals is always being kept in mind. There should be a complete curb on the criminal elements who hunt wild animals. The staff of the Forest Department should always be alert in this regard. Strictest action should be taken against the culprits who hunt wild animals.
