Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the works of Jal Nigam are going to change the lives of the people. Therefore, the work of the projects should be undertaken by experienced agencies only. It is necessary to ensure that there is no delay in the work.
A meeting will be held in the first week of July for dialogue with the contractors working on water supply schemes.
Chief Minister Chouhan was addressing the meeting of the Board of Directors of Madhya Pradesh Jal Nigam at Samatva Bhavan.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that in order to ensure the participation of local residents in the implementation and maintenance of water supply schemes, wide publicity of the schemes is necessary. New works should be started by holding a programme. Various points related to engineering, construction, testing, operation and maintenance of the projects were also discussed.
Panchayat and Rural Development Minister Mahendra Singh Sisodia, Urban Development and Housing Minister Bhupendra Singh, Minister of State for Public Health Engineering Brijendra Singh Yadav, Chief Secretary Iqbal Singh Bains, Principal Secretary Public Health Engineering Sanjay Kumar Shukla and other officers were present in the meeting.
