Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan on Tuesday reviewed the ongoing preparations for the 17th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Samagam and Investors Summit at the Brilliant Convention Center in Indore. Union Minister of State for External Affairs V. Muraleedharan was also specially present.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that in Indian culture, guests have been considered godlike. Following this tradition, the guests should be welcomed and felicitated. There should not be any deficiency in their hospitality. No guest has to face any kind of trouble.
The Pravasi Bhartiya Sammelan and Investor Summit should become unforgettable and memorable. Let guests take away memories that will last forever in their hearts and minds. Just as Indore is number one in cleanliness, similarly Indore should become number one in this event too.
Chief Minister Chouhan said a Global Garden should be developed in Indore to keep the memories of the event lasting. Tree plantation should be done by all the guests coming to this garden. Plant such plants that will live for years.
Chief Minister Chouhan reviewed the various arrangements related to the event and the activities to be organized during the event. He inquired about the accommodation, transport, food facility etc. of the guests.
The Chief Minister instructed that the arrangements should be finalized by preparing micro planning. All the arrangements should be adequate after pre-inspecting the place of stay of the guests. Important guests, very important guests and other guests should be traditionally welcomed at the airport.
A companion should be arranged with each guest arriving at the airport. As soon as they come to the airport, they get all the necessary facilities on time. Chief Minister Chouhan said that special attention should be paid to the security arrangements of the guests. It should be ensured that no untoward incident takes place in the city during the event. Full care and caution should be taken. This event is organized to honor Indore and Madhya Pradesh.
He said that there should be sufficient use of Hindi during the event. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan said that the visiting guests should also be informed about the cleanliness of Indore.
Union Minister of State for External Affairs Muraleedharan inspected the venue before the meeting. Expressing satisfaction over the preparations and arrangements being made for the event, he said that remarkable works are being done here. The event will definitely be successful. It seems that there is participation of the whole city and society in this event.
Minister of State Muraleedharan said special attention should be paid to food arrangements during the event. There should be such a proper arrangement of food, so that the guests are not inconvenienced. Before the meeting, he inspected the preparations being made at the venue along with the officials.
In the meeting, Divisional Commissioner Dr. Pawan Kumar Sharma, Police Commissioner Shri Harinarayanchari Mishra and Municipal Corporation Commissioner Mrs. Pratibha Pal gave detailed information about various activities, arrangements and preparations being made for the event.

Sharma, Indore district in-charge and Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra, Water Resources Minister Tulsiram Silavat, Tourism and Culture Minister Usha Thakur, Industrial Policy and Investment Promotion Minister Rajyavardhan Singh Dattigaon, Former Lok Sabha Speaker Sumitra Mahajan, MP Shankar Lalwani, Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava, Chairman of Indore Development Authority Jaipal Singh Chavda, MLAs and officials associated with various arrangements for the event were also present.
