Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has said that the people are my God, serving them is the worship of God. I have to live only for you and make your life happy, only then this life will be meaningful. CM Chouhan was addressing the Gond community convention on Sunday after performing Bhoomi-Pujan of Dharmshala to be constructed at a cost of Rs 50 lakh for the tribal community in Bherunda.
Mentioning the sacrifice and incomparable contribution of tribal heroes for the country, Chief Minister Chouhan said on the occasion of the 500th birth anniversary of Rani Durgavati, along with the construction of a grand memorial for her, Gaurav Yatras will be organised across the country. Referring to the work done by his government for the tribal community, Chief Minister said that the community will have to progress in development long with its culture and customs.
Chief Minister Chouhan said that the previous governments never respected the tribal heroes. He said that Gond kings ruled from Garha Madla to Gondwana and to keep the memory of the last Gond queen Kamalapati alive, we have installed her statue in Bhopal and Prime Minister has also named Habibganj railway station after Rani Kamalapati. He said that be it Tantya Mama or Veer Shankar Shah-Raghunath Shah, our government, conducted the work of keeping their memory alive and building their memorials.
Chief Minister Shri Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that on Monday at one o’clock he will deposit one thousand rupees in the accounts of his Ladli Bahnas. He said that sisters should not worry, he will hike this amount to three thousand rupees.
Chief Minister Chouhan appealed to the leaders of the tribal community to pay attention to the education of children, not to worry about money, the government will pay the fees incurred for higher education. The Chief Minister said that a girls’ education complex worth Rs. 31 crore will be soon built in Bherunda where daughters will be able to stay and study. He said that he will soon deposit an amount of Rs. 4 and half thousand into the accounts of the children who go away from the village to study so that they can purchase bicycles. He will also soon give an amount of Rs 25 thousand to the children who got more than 70 percent marks in the twelth to buy laptops.
The Chief Minister said that apart from completing the recruitment on one lakh jobs by August 15, the process of recruitment of 50 thousand more will be started to provide employment to the children. Mentioning the Mukhyamantri Seekho-Kamao Yojana, he said that apart from teaching work to 12th pass sons and daughters, Rs 8 thousand would be given to them and Rs 10 thousand to the youth having higher education.
The Gond community honoured Chief Minister Chouhan by tying a traditional safa and presenting mementos. The Chief Minister encouraged the tribal children by showering flowers on their cultural presentation and provided an incentive amount of 25 thousand. Member of Parliament Shri Ramakant Bhargava and Chief Minister’s wife Sadhna Singh Chouhan and son Kartikeya Singh Chouhan were also present.
