Madhya Pradesh is witnessing a new beginning of celebrating development projects in a festive manner. The Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched a series of development projects with the highest priority. During the Vikas Parv from July 16 to August 14 in the state, the Chief Minister launched development projects and performed ground-breaking ceremonies for development works worth Rs. 45,000 crore.
These development works mainly include water supply schemes, civil hospitals, community health centers, road construction, stadium construction, CM Rice Schools, CC Road construction, drinking water augmentation schemes, irrigation schemes, construction of colleges and schools with increased capacity, and numerous other small and large development plans.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi performed Bhumi Pujan for Rs. 1580 crore road projects during foundation laying ceremony for Sant Guru Ravidas Memorial and Temple at Sagar. The groundbreaking ceremony for the Medical College with a capacity of 500 beds, costing 714.91 crore rupees, was a significant step at Budhni, Sehore.
In Seoni district, launching /groundbreaking ceremonies were held for various development projects valuing at Rs. 287.48 crore.
In the Khategaon constituency of Dewas district, the groundbreaking ceremony for the Hania Barrage Micro Irrigation Project costing more than Rs. 1,294 crore was performed, and naming it after Baba Siddhnath apart from declaring Harangawan as a tehsil was announced.
In Mandsaur, during a farmer convention in Pipaliyamandi, projects costing more than 1,337 crore rupees were inaugurated and bhumi pujan was done. Announcement was also made to elevate Dhoondhka Tappa in Mandsaur district to tehsil.
Agar-Malwa region had inauguration ceremonies for the first phase of the Kundalia Pipeline Irrigation System, costing more than Rs 1,200 crore rupees, and for various development projects costing more than Rs 1,306 crore.
In Chhatarpur, inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies were held for 20 development projects costing Rs 431.57 crore and commencement of work for 11 projects costing Rs 353.24 crore, and the announcement of many other initiatives.
In Neemuch district, the Neemuch-Javad Irrigation Project with an estimated cost of Rs 3,500 crore will soon be started. In Manasa, inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies were held for projects costing Rs 1,245.42 crore and Rs 36.76 crore.
Tikamgarh district, inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies for projects costing Rs 138.08 crore, including the Nal-Jal scheme, the Jatara Civil Hospital, and road construction. In Anuppur, the foundation stone was laid for a new supercritical unit of a 660 MW power plant costing Rs 5,600 crore. Additionally, inauguration was done for a storage weir on the Son River near Jaitahri at a cost of 6.94 crore rupees.
In Rewa, inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies were held for projects costing Rs 161.35 crore. Lahar tehsil of Bhind district had inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies a total of 367 development projects valuing at Rs 559 crore.
