Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan handed over the scooty keys to 23 disabled women and 2 destitute women in Indore today. These handicapped and destitute working women were spending half of their hard earned money on transportation. The scooty key given by Chief Minister Chouhan is the key to the success and dignity of these women. The scooty has been provided to 25 needy disabled and destitute working women with the help of Indian Red Cross Indore with the efforts of Collector Dr. Ilaiah Raja T. These needy women had applied for financial assistance during a public hearing.
Firdaus purchases material from Bombay market
Chief Minister Chouhan handed over the keys of the scooty to Firdaus B, a resident of Sirpur in Indore. Firdaus has a disabled leg but despite her weakness, she continues to stitch polythene through which, she earns Rs 7 to 8 thousand every month. She reaches Bombay market every third day to buy material for stitching. Along with this, she also has to drop and pick her children from school every day. She has to pay Rs 15 to 20 for a city bus journey. The scooty provided by the Chief Minister will facilitate her and her family. She lost her husband to Corona, now runs a tiffin centre to bring up her two children
Archana Solanki, a resident of Malviya Nagar Indore, is taking care of her two children by running a tiffin center after the death of her husband Sanjay Solanki in Corona period. Now getting the scooty will make it easier for her to bring the material. Sheela Verma of Rajendra Nagar is working as a computer operator at the medical shop of Mhow block.
Now they will not have to travel by city bus and will be able to reach work on time. Musakhedi’s Muskan Verma is running her family by cooking food in people’s houses after her husband’s death in an accident 15 years ago. After having received the scooty, she too can now conveniently go to work. Muskaan says that she will be able to go to cook food in more houses now. The condition of disabled Sarita Sahu of New Ramnagar and Lachha Rathore of Ahirkhedi is also similar. The scooty has reduced most of her worries.
