Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan extended good wishes to the 32 elderly pilgrims of Dewas for the Shirdi pilgrimage through video conferencing from the CM’s residence today.
Culture Minister Usha Thakur and Indore MP Shankar Lalwani were present at the time of departure of passengers from Indore to Shirdi by plane for pilgrimage.
Chouhan said that every citizen has a desire to go on pilgrimage. Pilgrimage gives satisfaction to the soul. In the year 2013, Mukhya Mantri Teerth-Darshan Yojana was started in Madhya Pradesh. Under the plan, a beginning has been made to send the passenger by air.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has also implemented many such schemes, through which the citizens get inner joy. Along with the development of Shri Ram temple complex in Ayodhya, various facilities are being increased at religious places like Chitrakoot, Orchha and Jamsanwali besides Mahakal Mahalok in Ujjain, Devi Lok in Salkanpur, so that devotees and tourists can be facilitated.
In the Teerth-Darshan Yojana, earlier passengers were sent by train only. Now the facility of pilgrimage by air has also been started. The state government has now also taken the initiative to amend the rules of the scheme for husband and wife to go on pilgrimage together by plane.
Wishing the pilgrims going to Shirdi a successful journey, Chouhan instructed the accompanying officers and employees accompanying pilgrims to provide assistance to ensure all necessary arrangements.
