Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has extended warm greetings to all public representatives on International Day of Parliamentarism.
The CM has tweeted that “This occasion makes the public representatives committed towards their public concerns and reminds them of the active, positive role of legislative bodies at the centre of the democratic system. Let we all public representatives be determined towards our duties and public welfare on World Parliament Day.”
It is notable that the United Nations’ International Day of Parliamentarism is observed annually on 30 June by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) to underline the importance of parliaments in national plans and strategies.
It was established in the year 2018 by the resolution of the United Nations General Assembly.
