Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan today, on the birth anniversary of Bundel Kesari Maharaja Chhatrasal, announced the setting up of Jugal Kishore Sarkar Lok in Panna on the lines of Mahakal Lok of Ujjain, on the occasion of Panna Gaurav Divas.
Describing Panna as a holy and religious city, he said that all the four temple complexes would be included in the Jugal Kishore Sarkar Lok. Jugal Kishore will be made by taking public suggestions and advice. The public representatives and corporators were present in the Gaurav Divas Samaroha held at local Chhatrasal Stadium.
Chouhan announced to install his statue in Dharamsagar pond with the aim of getting people to take inspiration from Maharaja Chhatrasal and follow his ideals. Chief Minister Shri Chouhan performed bhoomi-pujan and dedicated various construction works worth Rs 178 crore 51 lakh for the development of Panna district at the Gaurav Diwas Samaroha. On the demand of public representatives, Chouhan said that whenever the decision to open medical colleges in cities/districts with population up to 10 lakh will be taken, then Panna will also be included in it. Chouhan said that the Madhya Pradesh government will leave no stone unturned in the development of Panna. He told that Panna has been given many gifts of development today. Agriculture College was demanded in the year 2018, later it was shifted elsewhere by the then government, but has now been brought back to Panna. Referring to the glorious saga of Maharaja Chhatrasal, Chouhan said that he was a great warrior who could never be defeated. The boundaries of his kingdom were vast. Describing Panna as a wonderful city, he said that the festivals, fairs, folk arts, cuisine, culture and civilization here are unique. Like the shine of a diamond, we have to maintain the identity of emerald. Apart from providing employment and self-employment, the state government is doing all the development works. Along with this, the standard of living of the people is also improving. Many schemes are going on for this. Many schemes are going on for this. The Chief Minister instructed the Collector not to spare those who created disturbances in the work of Jugal Kishore Temple after the investigation. Ladli Bahnas presented a 51 meter chunri and a big rakhi to the Chief Minister and also tied a rakhi to him in the programme. Chouhan also honoured many talents of the city.
Minister Brijendra Pratap Singh thanked the Chief Minister for declaring Chhatrasal Jayanti as a public holiday and demanded installation of Maharaja Chhatrasal’s statue in Dharamsagar pond. He said that Maharaja Chhatrasal had a big heart. He fought many battles but never lost. He freed Bundelkhand from the Mughals.
Sharma also urged the Chief Minister to build the Jugal Kishore Lok. At the outset, Chief Minister Chouhan opened the ceremony by performing kanya pujan and garlanding the picture of Maharaja Chhatrasal.
Brijendra Pratap Singh welcomed the Chief Minister and other guests by tying the Safa and presenting the sword. Municipal President Meena Pandey also addressed the programme. On this occasion melodious songs were presented by famous singer Kavita Paudwal.
