Three children including two girls were drowned in a ditch filed with water in village Kurihatola, in Anuppur district today.
The girls aged four and eight years and boy six years were relatives went with the grandfather to the agriculture field, the police told local reporters.
The grandfather searched for them when he found them missing in the field later their bodies were found floating on the waters in the ditch.
The children probably went to take bath in the ditch, the police said.
The village falls under the jurisdiction of Kotma police station of the district.
