Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan reached the Durga Nagar slum of Newari and handed over the sanction letters of Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana to the women at their homes.

The Chief Minister had a very affectionate talk with the beneficiary women. Chouhan reached the women’s houses crossing narrow lanes and spent a little time with them and their families. He asked the names of the children, enquired about their studies, husband’s profession etc.

He performed aarti of the women and gave them the sanction letters of the Ladli Bahna Yojana.

The Chief Minister said that the women were being provided the sanction letters of the scheme at home so that they need not face any difficulty. Chouhan gave approval letters to Sheetal Mahawar, Sushma Raikwar, Kanti Pal, Sunita Lowanshi and Umaidi Bai.

Chouhan said that the cordial relationship with sisters motivates him to make every possible effort for their betterment and happy life. The recently implemented Mukhyamantri Ladli Bahna Yojana is an effective step towards women empowerment. A resolution is being fulfilled by the implementation of the scheme. This will increase the self-confidence of the sisters and their dreams will come true.

In a conversation with Chouhan, Smt. Sunita Lovanshi told that she will spend the money received from the scheme on her daughter’s education. Chouhan gave instructions to the officials to provide necessary assistance for the treatment of the family members of Smt. Ummedi Bai a paralytic.
