Taking an important decision in the interest of the students of the state, the Cabinet has given approval for a proposal to amend the Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojna.
Now students whose parents or guardian’s annual income is more than Rs. 6 lakh will also get benefit of the Mukhya Mantri Medhavi Vidyarthi Yojna, Home Minister Dr. Narottam Mishra told the reporters.
The previous Congress government had limited the annual income to six lakhs to give advantage of the scheme to the students, he said.
At the same time, students enrolling in second year courses of engineering and pharmacy through lateral entry will also get the benefit of this scheme, he said.
The cabinet has approved a two lane asphalt road from Bharatpur to Jigna. This road, to be completed at a total cost of Rs 178.62 crore, will facilitate traffic on the Rewa-Shahdol road, he said.
The cabinet has approved the important proposal for the establishment and operation of the Motor Driving Training and Research Institute (MDTRI) in District Datia, Mishra said.
Training courses for drivers will be started in this institute, he said.
