Medical Education Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang interacted with doctors and all the staff of Emergency Medicine Department at Hamidia Hospital Bhopal on Monday.
He guided everyone to provide proper treatment to the patients coming to the hospital in record time.
Minister Sarang said that according to the criteria of NMC, we have established Emergency Medicine Department in 13 Medical Colleges.
In the Emergency Department of the Hamidia Hospital Bhopal, first treatment will be provided to the patients, later the facility for registration will be given.
The Department of Emergency Medicine is the mirror of the medical services of any hospital. He informed that special efforts are being made to provide world-class medical services to the serious patients coming to the Emergency Medicine Department at Hamidia Hospital. In the Emergency Department of Hamidia Hospital, first treatment will be provided to the patients, later the facility for registration will be given.
First treatment then registration
Minister Sarang told that now serious patients coming in emergency will first be given treatment and not registration. He said that whenever a patient comes in emergency, the first priority is to provide right treatment at the right time. Due to time taken in registration, many times patients do not get treatment at the right time. By making practical changes in this, first treatment will be provided to the patient in the emergency department of Hamidia Hospital, then his form will be filled.
Will get treatment in record time
Minister Sarang said that the records of the patient from the arrival of the patient in the Emergency Medicine Department of Hamidia Hospital till the time he gets treatment and leaves the hospital can be seen on the screen through the dashboard. He said that this would bring transparency in providing medical facilities to the patients.
Patients will get world class facilities
Minister Sarang said that special efforts have been made to provide world-class medical services to the patients coming for treatment in the Emergency Medicine Department of Hamidia Hospital. Here modern infra-structure has been developed as per standard norms. Separate entrance and ambulance dock-in have been arranged. Along with this, the department will be equipped with modern equipment like ventilator, defibrillator, multipara monitor, infusion pump, crash cart, fowler bed. Patients coming here will be divided into red, yellow and green zones on the basis of their seriousness, so that they can get the right treatment.
Special training will be given in trauma centre of AIIMS New Delhi
Minister Sarang informed that doctors and nursing staff will be provided training by the experts of Trauma Center of AIIMS New Delhi. Its purpose is to try to save the life of a serious patient coming in emergency by providing appropriate treatment in the golden hour.
Behaviour will change with soft skill training
Minister Sarang informed that soft skill training has been provided to the doctors, nursing, paramedical and support staff working in the Emergency Medicine Department. With this, they will be taught to politely handle the patients coming in critical condition and their family members. He said that this will change the mindset of patients towards government hospitals.
Minister Sarang got to know the experience from the staff who arrived after training
Minister Sarang learned about their experience during the dialogue in the orientation programme of the doctors and staff of the Department of Emergency Medicine. During this, he told that correct information should be made available to the patients while attending the training, so that they can get check-up and treatment at the right time. Patients should be treated politely with a sense of belonging, so that they carry a good image of the hospital.
Minister Sarang inspected the emergency ward
After talking to the doctors and staff, Minister Shri Sarang inspected the ward of the Emergency Medicine Department. During this, he expressed satisfaction over the information about the medical facilities being provided to the patients. Director Medical Education Department Dr. Arun Kumar Srivastava, Dean of Gandhi Medical College Dr. Arvind Rai, Superintendent of Hamidia Hospital Dr. Ashish Gohia, Head of Department Dr. Ruchi Tandon were also present.
