Chief Electoral Officer Madhya Pradesh Anupam Rajan said for the first time sector officer will read voter list.
The Physical verification will be done if there are more than 6 voters in the house.

The preparations are going on in full capacity by the office of the Chief Electoral Office regarding the Assembly Elections-2023 in the state.

Chief Electoral Officer Madhya Pradesh Anupam Rajan told that for the first time a new initiative is being taken during the second special brief review. In order to bring more transparency in the voter list, this time the voter list will be read by the sector officer during the second special brief revision starting from August 2.

During this BLO will also be present. This work will run from 3 to 10 August. In brief revision, if more than 6 voters reside in a house, their physical verification will be done.

Activities in Second Special Brief Review

On August 2, the draft voter list will be published at all 64 thousand 100 polling stations and district headquarters of the state.

A copy of the draft will be made available to the political parties. From August 2 to 31, applications will be taken to add new names to the voter list, amend the voter list, delete names of dead voters and double entry voters. Voters who are completing 18 years of age on 01 October 2023, applications will be taken in advance to add their names to the voter list. All BLOs will be present at their respective polling stations. The applications received till 31 August will be resolved by 22 September 2023. The final publication of the voter list will be on October 4.

Special camps will be held on Saturday-Sunday

During the second special brief revision, special camps will be organized on Saturday-Sunday. These camps will be organized on 12, 13 and 19 and 20 August. During this, all the BLOs, being present in their respective areas, will visit the area along with the booth level agents of political parties and after reading the voter list, will receive the applications of Form 6, 7 and 8.
