The State government has amended Medical Education Admission Rules-2018, the Madhya Pradesh government has decided to reserve 5% seats of MBBS and BDS courses in the government and private colleges for the students pass out of the state government run schools.
Admissions to medical colleges are done on the basis of NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) exam. The reservation to the students the government run schools will be irrespective of caste.
The students studying in government schools from class 6 to 12 will get the benefits of the new amendments. The reservation rules will also be applicable to students will are studying in private schools from class 1 to 8 and registered under provisions of Right to Education Act and take admission in government schools from class 9 and continue their studies till class 12.
