While returning from Uttarakhand’s Gangotri Dham to Uttarkashi, passengers from Madhya Pradesh have also become victims of accidents due to vehicles being hit by landslides.
According to the information received from Additional Chief Secretary Home Dr. Rajesh Rajoura, it has been told that a constant vigil was kept on the Uttarkashi landslide accident. Continuous contact was maintained with the Home Department, Uttarakhand and the Collector of Uttarkashi.
Arrangements were made to safely take the 7 victims and 19 passengers injured in the crash to Dehradun and Haridwar. One injured is being shifted to AIIMS Hospital in Rishikesh.
