The voting process for Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections 2023 has been completed peacefully in the state on 17th November.

Now counting of votes will take place on December 3. On the day of voting, voters participated with enthusiasm and excitement in this great festival of democracy and voted in large numbers.

The enthusiasm of the voters was apparent at the polling booths since morning.

An increase in the voting percentage was recorded in the Assembly elections held this year in 2023 as compared to Assembly elections 2018 in the state.

Excluding the voting percentage of postal ballot, this year there was 77.15 percent voting in the state, whereas in the assembly elections 2018, there was 75.05 percent voting in the state.

That means there was an increase of 2.10 percent voting in the 2023 assembly elections.

Special features of Assembly elections 2023

• Seoni district witnessed the highest voting percentage of 86.29 percent.

• Alirajpur district witnessed the lowest voting percentage of 61.81 percent.

Highest voting took place in Sailana assembly of Ratlam district

Sailana assembly of Ratlam district saw the highest turnout in the 2023 assembly elections.

This time the voting percentage is 90.10, whereas in the year 2018 elections there was 88.35 percent voting.

Jobat assembly of Alirajpur district recorded the lowest turnout of 54 percent

Jobat assembly constituency of Alirajpur district recorded the lowest voter turnout in the state at 54 percent.

However, compared to the last assembly election 2018, the voting percentage in the year 2023 assembly election has increased by 2.06 percent.

In the 2018 assembly elections, the voting percentage of Jobat Assembly was 52.31 percent, whereas in the year 2023 it has increased to 54.37 percent.

Voting percentage has increased the most in Lakhnadaun assembly constituency as compared to assembly elections 2018 in the state

In the Assembly Elections-2023, there has been the highest increase in the voting percentage of Lakhnadaun Assembly constituency of Seoni district of the state.

In the year 2018, the voting percentage here was 77.98, whereas in the year 2023 assembly elections, it has increased to 84.71. The voting percentage here has increased by 6.73 percent.

In 34 out of 230 assembly constituencies of the state, the voting percentage of women is higher than that of men

In the 2023 assembly elections, there are 34 constituencies out of 230 assembly constituencies in the state, in which the voting percentage of female voters has been higher than that of male voters.

In Sinhawal assembly constituency no. 78 of Sidhi district, the voting percentage of women is 11.91 percent more than that of men.
