As the number of daily Covid-19 cases in the national capital continues to decline, the Delhi government has announced that the lockdown-like restrictions will be eased starting Monday. The grace period has been extended until 5 a.m. on June 28.
The Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has eased the current restrictions by reopening bars, golf clubs, gardens, and public parks on Monday. Outdoor yoga has also been permitted by the DDMA.
In a new order, the Delhi government stated that bars will be allowed to open from noon to 10 p.m. with a 50 percent seating capacity. Restaurants can open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m., rather than the current 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
In the last 24 hours, Delhi has seen 124 new Covid-19 cases and seven deaths. After February 16, when Delhi recorded 97 Covid-19 cases, this is the city’s lowest daily Covid-19 count.
