The Bharatiya Janata Party newly elected legislatures unanimously elected Dr. Mohan Yadav as its leader.

The consent was also given to form two deputy chief ministers Rajendra Shukla and Jagdish Devda.

Also it was decided Narendra Singh Tomar for post of speaker of the Legislative Assembly.

Yadav a minister in the Shivraj Singh Chouhan cabinet thus becomes new chief minister of Madhya pradesh.

Yadav alongwith former Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, BJP state president VD Sharma, the three observers met Governor Mangubhai Patel claimed to form the government.

Governor Mangubhai Patel appointed Mohan Yadav as Chief Minister and invited to form the new government.

The Governor has accepted the resignation of Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan from the Cabinet.
