On Wednesday, a squad of Delhi Police tracked down a 23-year-old rapper who had gone missing after leaving a suicide note on social media. Aditya Tiwari was found in Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh. He will now be taken back to the capital and questioned about his actions.
“23-year-old rapper Aditya Tiwari, who went missing from Delhi last week, has been traced to Madhya Pradesh’s Jabalpur, by police team,” the Delhi Police said in a statement today.
Aditya Tiwari aka MC Kode, a Delhi-based hip-hop rapper, has been missing since June 1 after being mercilessly ridiculed on social media and called out supposedly for a video. He was caught making harsh statements regarding the Mahabharata in a 2016 video.
After he went missing a week ago, his mother, Deepa Dhingra, filed a kidnapping lawsuit. Dhingra stated in her report that her son had been missing since Wednesday.
She also stated in the Friday report that he had written a suicide note on Instagram and that his phone had been turned off.
“Currently standing at an isolated bridge overlooking the Yamuna river where I could see the waves answering my distress call while giving me much needed perspective. I do not blame anyone for anything but myself. A relief from my own existence is gonna serve as a punishment that the entire country wanted,” MC Kode’s instagram post read.
