A 14-year-old tribal girl died after being struck by lightning in village Pali in Anuppur district of Madhya Pradesh on Friday.
According to the police Reshma Gond (14) sitting under a tree in the village when the storm struck the area with heavy rains and ligthning.
The lightning struck the tree under which the girl was sitting died on spot, the police said.
Two persons died and one injured after lightning struck them in Ashoknagar district.
The monsoon activities is picking up in Madhya Pradesh with rainfall occured in many districts including Indore, Khandwa, Betul, Jabalpur, Anuppur, Rewa, Shahdol, Shivpuri, Umaria, Bhopal, Narsinghpur, Chhindwara, Sagar, Satna and other districts.
