In two separate occurrences, unidentified aggressors took shots at Agriculture University dignitary Prof Rajbeer Singh in Meerut and the jailor and two different staffs of the Deoband prison on Friday night, police said.
Prof Rajbeer Singh, who hails from Heva town of Meerut area, was getting back from University on Friday late evening when two bike borne unidentified crooks overwhelmed his vehicle and constrained him to stop. Both the attackers were wearing protective cap to cover their character. They started shooting at Prof Rajbeer Singh and escaped.
Meerut senior director of police (SSP), Prabhakar Choudhary, said that Prof Rajbeer Singh got 3 projectile wounds and 4 void shells of cartridges were viewed as on the spot.
The college understudies and instructors raced to the spot subsequent to getting data about the occurrence and conceded truly harmed Singh in a private emergency clinic.
SSP said that the state of Prof Singh is basic. ” Police groups have been framed to research the episode and recognize the aggressors”, said SSP adding that no piece of information about attackers has been gotten at this point. “Prof Singh couldn’t talk and relatives likewise have not shared any data about the suspects”, said SSP adding that the aggressors will be distinguished and captured soon.
In another occurrence, unidentified lawbreakers started shooting at the jailor and other staff of the Deoband prison on Friday night when the corrections officer, Reevan Singh, was walking around his authority home premises in the wake of eating alongside two other prison staffs.
The station house official (SHO) of Deoband police headquarters, Prabhakar Saud, said that 5 people, including the 2 fundamental aggressors, have been captured. He said that a few guests came to meet one criminal Neetu, stopped in the prison, on Thursday however the prison staff denied them authorization, which prompted a quarrel between them. Two of them started shooting at Friday night to threaten the prison staffs, police said.
