Gujarat. On the growing tendency of seeking social media to find new friends and spouses of youth, the Gujarat High Court has advised a couple to end their marriage. The court says that the marriage fixed on Facebook is sure to get failed. Justice JB Mandhivala made this comment in its January 24 order. In this, he disposed of a case of domestic violence. In this case, the Fancy Shah of Rajkot had accused her husband Jaideep Shah and her mother-in-law for torturing her for dowry.
Justice said, “They got married and within two months there was a problem in their marital life. I will look into the fact that the parties have tried to resolve the matter. Although the agreement could not be reached. It is one of the modern marriages fixed on Facebook, which is set to be unsuccessful. ”
Jaideep, a resident of Navsari, came in contact with Fancy in Facebook in 2011. He was studying engineering during that time. They got married to the consent of their parents. However, within two months only, they got trouble in their marriage.
