Consumer satisfaction should be the top priority for government owned power companies, says Principal Secretary Energy Sanjay Dubey.

The quality power supply to all categories of consumers, consumer satisfaction, achieving the target of revenue collection, transparency and energy audit are the priority of the department.

Everyone from lineman to chief engineer should understand their responsibility and bring positive results, Dubey said this while addressing the officials of the MP Poorva Kshetra Vidyut Vitaran Company in a one-day MANTHAN meeting organized at the headquarters of the power companies at Jabalpur, Madhya Pradesh.

He instructed that the work of the consumers should be done according to the Citizen’s Charter and after completing all the formalities by the consumers, it should be ensured that the connections are issued to them within three working days.

He said that in this competitive era there is a need for progressive work improvement.
Dubey instructed to make billing efficiency above 90 percent and 100 percent collection efficiency.
While reviewing the complaints of CM Helpline, Dubey directed to resolve these complaints on priority. He said that the working style should be such that the consumers do not get a chance to complain.
In order to increase the revenue, Dubey directed everyone to continuously improve the power system so that better and timely facilities can be provided to the consumers. While setting the targets for the year 2023-24, he also discussed them in detail.
The Principal Secretary directed that an action plan should be prepared to replace low capacity transformers with high capacity transformers when the load is high.
Continue the transformer maintenance process, Energy Secretary and Chairman of Power Distribution Companies Raghuraj Rajendran said the staff needs to be vigilant to prevent power theft. If the maintenance of transformers is done regularly, then their failure rate can be reduced.

He also instructed for daily monitoring of distribution transformers.
Managing Director Anay Dwivedi presented the progress report
Presenting the progress report of the company, Anay Dwivedi, Managing Director of East Region Power Distribution Company, said that the technical losses will be drastically reduced by the work done under the RDSS scheme.

He said that new substations are being prepared in RDSS, cabling, new lines of 11 and 33 KV, installation of large number of transformers etc. important works will be done.

He told that under the scheme, work is being done keeping in mind the increase in load in the next three years.
